MichôdsKingdom caught up with David today at the screening of his partner Mirrah Foulkes “Judy and Punch” at the Sydney Film Festival. David confirmed that The King will be released in 2019, but said he still had a few months post production.

On another note, if you get the opportunity to see Mirrah’s directorial debut with Judy and Punch you should take it. It’s such an original and clever film with outstanding performances by Mia Wasikowska and Damon Herriman. The entire cast is wonderful. What a fabulous Aussie film. There’s still one more screening as part of the Sydney Film Festival at The Randwick Ritz this Thursday 13 June 2019 otherwise you’ll have to wait for Madman Films to release later this year. Hmm think I might have to start promoting Mirrah on MK too! I just love her.
