It’s not often I want to disagree with David, but I’m definitely in the minority then because I love Aussie films. I do, however, understand what he means about the average cinema goer not supporting our industry. Plus the “tall poppy syndrome” is always alive and well in Oz. This interview is from 2011 – I love going back to the past and rewatching or discovering new interviews. I could listen to David all day. Love his passion for his work.
